It’s a New Dawn
On a chilly winter morning, gentle rays of sun shone through the window while my partner quietly prepared breakfast for us.
It had been a disorienting week, having to cross multiple timezones, supporting loved ones through their medical treatments and loss.
Maybe it was the warming cup of tea,
the caring voice notes,
and the thoughtful messages received
throughout the week,
I felt especially hopeful in that moment,
so I picked up my camera to document it:
this feeling of being loved and held
in more than one way.
Months later, “It’s a New Dawn” was selected to be part of ‘Night’, an exhibition dedicated to work made between dusk and dawn, from urban scenes to quiet landscapes and studies of light and shadow, at The Glasgow Gallery of Photography.
Grateful for the opportunity to share my work with a broader audience and the warm welcome at the exhibition opening.
It’s truly an honour to get to know fellow photographers at this lovely space.
Both the print and Exhibition Book are available for sale on the gallery’s website.
